Coming From Santa Rosa? Make the Drive to Church in the Sonoma Valley

Santa Rosa has many churches. This page is not one of them. Sonoma Valley Community Church is in Sonoma, at 181 Chase Street, and you are welcome to make the drive.

Whether you live in Sonoma or drive over from Glen Ellen, Kenwood or Santa Rosa, you're always welcome.

The drive

Coming from Santa Rosa, Kenwood or Glen Ellen, it is a lovely drive via Highway 12 through Kenwood and Glen Ellen. We do not publish a drive time, because it changes. Leave a little early your first Sunday so you can park and be seated before 10:30 AM. There's plenty of parking in our lot and on the surrounding streets. You're more than welcome.

What you will find

The Sunday service is at 10:30 AM and lasts about an hour. Dress is casual, as if you were going to a movie theater or a local concert in the park. The service includes singing, prayer, and reading and teaching from the Bible, with the Lord's Supper once a month. Music is a baby grand piano and talented worship leaders. Refreshments follow in the fellowship hall. Children are always welcome.

We are a Christian church, a Protestant congregation in the Reformed Church in America, in Sonoma since 1945. We are not a Catholic church. People of every background are welcome. Recent services are on our YouTube channel.

A smaller church, and ways to serve

Newcomers are greeted. Teaching is from the Bible. The church also serves through Vitalant blood drives, more than 500 units since 2022, and our shoebox ministry, which packed 402 shoeboxes in 2024.

Come at Christmas first

The Sonoma Live Nativity date for 2026 is coming soon. The Christmas Eve service in Sonoma is Thursday, December 24, 2026, a candlelight service with an ornament gift. The time is coming soon.
