Christian Outreach in Sonoma County: Blood Drives and Shoeboxes from a Small Sonoma Church

A small church can still show up for its neighbors. At Sonoma Valley Community Church the hope is to know God, grow together, and show his love in practical ways. Two of those ways are blood drives and our shoebox ministry.

Blood drives with Vitalant

Vitalant is our blood-drive partner. Since 2022 the church has collected more than 500 units of blood. The drives are held at 181 Chase Street, Sonoma. The next date is coming soon. When it is set, call (707) 938-8100 and we will share how to sign up. Read more about blood drives in Sonoma.

Our shoebox ministry

Our shoebox ministry is the church's own effort. Families pack gift-filled shoeboxes for children. In 2024 our shoebox ministry packed 402 shoeboxes. The next packing date is coming soon. Call (707) 938-8100 or contact us if you want to help. More is on the shoebox ministry page.

Why this belongs to a church in Sonoma

We are a Christian church in Sonoma, a Protestant congregation in the Reformed Church in America, and we have been here since 1945. Community and outreach is one way we try to give back.

Sunday worship is at 10:30 AM at 181 Chase Street and lasts about an hour, with refreshments afterward. You are welcome to come and see.
